Plot Type | Description |
Vertical profile, Parameter vs. Pressure | This function displays 'Parameter vs. Pressure' vertical profile(s) for selected parameter(s), and selected single or multiple 'sunrise' or 'sunset' and event(s). |
Vertical profile, Parameter vs. Altitude | This function displays 'Parameter vs. Altitude' vertical profile(s) for selected parameter(s), and selected single or multiple 'sunrise' or 'sunset' and event(s). |
In the HALOE data files, the error estimates are provided in the form of
Standard Deviation. These numbers represent a precision estimate of the
data, not an accuracy. The noise or random error, error in the solar
tracking, and error in the estimation of aerosols induced uncertainty
(under heavy aerosol conditions) in the retrieval of most of the species
are root sum squared. For information about quality of measurements of
each species, please refer to the
detailed documentation
produced by the HALOE instrument team.
|
Please check or uncheck the event number checkboxes of sunrise/sunset event type(s). Please refer to the "HALOE Event Coverage" map for the selected date while making the event number selections. Whenever the "All" is checked, it will be taken as if all the avaliable events have been selected.

Option | Description |
Pre-defined: | Currently Y-axis range is set from 1000.0mb to 0.001mb for pressure and from 0.0km to 100.0km for altitude. |
User defined: | Allows user to specify the minimum and maximum pressure (in mb) or altitude (in km) for vertical profile displays. Please note that the selections for min/max pressure values will be rounded down/up to the nearest power of 10 for display. Example: selection of 50mb to 850mb will be rounded as 10mb to 1000mb. |
